Maria-Liza Nery
Liza is a foundation member of the Endocrine Nurses’ Society of Australasia (ENSA); has been President of ENSA for two terms; was the Co-Chair of the organising committee for the first and very successful International Congress of Endocrine Nursing (ICEN), held in Sydney in 2000; and was on the organising committee for the second ICEN, held in Lisbon in 2004.
A registered nurse who has worked in Endocrinology research for over 20yrs, Liza worked initially in bone and mineral research; and with Assoc Prof Phillip Clifton-Bligh, helped set up and manage the Northern Metabolic Bone Centre at Royal North Shore Hospital. Liza is currently the Clinical Research Manager for Endocrinology at Royal North Shore Hospital.
