Róisín Griffin

Róisín is a post-doctoral researcher within the Infertility and Reproduction Research Program at the University of Newcastle (UON). Her PhD focused on identifying sperm proteomic biomarkers of fertility in stallions, and investigating how heat stress can significantly impact the fertility, and germ cell quality of susceptible stallions. Her research now centres on understanding the mechanisms through which endogenous and exogenous factors (such as aging and heat stress) impact sperm DNA integrity and therefore, offspring health.
