Nathan Burke

Nathan is a post doctoral researcher at the University of Melbourne, focusing on the relationship between male fertility and whole body health. Nathan has experience in working with mouse models and human samples, with a primary focus on sperm function and physiology. To this end, Nathan has performed several phosphoproteomic investigations into sperm function under conditions of capacitation and also ROS, the latter induced by in vitro treatment with the lipid aldehyde 4-hydroxynonenal. Nathan also has experience in investigating sperm DNA damage and its relationship to pregnancy outcomes, including the application of the Comet Assay, a single cell gel electrophoresis, and in sperm cell analysis using flow cytometry.
