Rayzel Fernandes
Dr. Rayzel Fernandes is a Research Associate within the Androgen Signalling and Prostate Cancer Research Group at Imperial College London, UK. She received her PhD in 2020 from the University of Adelaide, investigating the role of an oncogenic microRNA miR-194 in prostate cancer progression, and moved to the UK for post-doctoral training later that year. Rayzel is interested in understanding how enhancer associated non-coding RNAs drive therapy resistance in prostate cancer and their therapeutic, prognostic or diagnostic utility in advanced stages of this disease. Her research is currently funded by a US Department of Defence CDMRP Prostate Cancer Research Program Early Investigator Researcher Award.
